No one knows better than our Resolute community that it takes a village to raise a child. From staff members to families, the community we’ve created benefits our scholars beyond the four walls of our school. Parents truly are our partners at Resolute Academy and we couldn’t achieve what we do without their partnership. 

Research shows that when schools, families, and communities work together, good things happen. Scholars stay in school and are more motivated. Parental involvement not only helps academic performance but also has a positive impact on student attitude and behavior. At Resolute, we see this benefit daily in our classrooms and encourage parents to partner with us for student success. 

Frequent Communication

One of the best ways we know to build a strong community is with even stronger communication. Like any good relationship, communication is the key to understanding each other and making sure everyone’s needs are met. At Resolute, you get frequent contact and honest dialog about your student’s progress. Here are a few ways you will hear from your child’s teachers and staff at Resolute:

• Weekly Reports on your child’s academics and attendance, as well as positive merits and/or deductions, keep you up to date on what’s happening at school each and every week.  
• Parent Square is our school portal that holds information about all of our events and student records. Download the app or sign up for notifications using your cell phone or email to get information about your middle schooler quickly and efficiently. 
• Our PARENTS page is dedicated to information for our families. Check it out for calendar updates, lunch menus, resources, workshops, and links to support you during your time at Resolute Academy. 
• If your scholar is in need of more support, you can count on us to invite you to a conference every 6 weeks until we’ve got him/her on track. We won’t let anyone slip through the cracks. 

One of the ways we build trust is by avoiding surprises, which is why we go out of our way to make sure families are informed and included in the conversation about your child’s success.  

Two-Way Dialogue

Communication is a two-way street. Resolute teachers and staff gain from parent input and love to hear from you about your unique scholar. 

Our open-door policy says “you are welcome here and we want to hear from you!” Resolute teachers are available to chat on the phone or in-person--they go above and beyond to hear from and listen to families. Hearing from you helps provide teachers with important knowledge about each scholar and family and helps us engage students every day.

Once a month, our principal, Mr. Gallegos, hosts a coffee time to chat about anything and everything. Follow us on Facebook, Instagram, or our blog to keep up to date on the next event.
