About

Resolute Academy leadership and staff acknowledge the challenging circumstances regarding providing direct services to scholars during the state-mandated “Shelter In Place” Order and “Social Distancing” guidelines. We also recognize the deep impact that services have on our scholars and the need to continue to provide them during the transition to distance learning. We are, as always, committed to putting the best interest of the scholar first.

In order to ensure that scholars are receiving the maximum amount of support from trained Resource Specialists and Special Education Aides, Resolute will continue utilizing an inclusionary model to instruction while also providing targeted small group instruction for scholars with IEPs every Friday. Additionally, we have assigned a Special Education Aid for each grade level.  We fundamentally believe that our students can succeed in a full inclusionary model but we also recognize that Distance Learning has provided us an opportunity to create a schedule that allows for our students with IEPs to receive intensive targeted small group instruction so that we can focus on the particulars of academic achievement. It is important to note that this change was created due to feedback from parents, academic results from the previous year and the desire to place a full-time Special Education Aide in the classroom with scholars.

Upon returning to school, the IEP Team, inclusive of Resolute Academy Team Members and the scholar’s family, will convene an IEP Team Meeting to determine whether compensatory services are required for each individual student.
