Dear Resolute Academy Families,
I can’t believe it’s year three. I’d like to take a moment to reflect on what brought us here in the first place. Resolute was founded upon the belief that all students can and will learn at the highest academic levels. It was founded upon the belief that all of our kids matter, our families matter and the community that we work in matters. In my opinion, there’s no better community than Watts. To me, Watts represents hope. A hope that prevails even when everything else seems to have given up on it.
We opened our doors this year to 242 bright-eyed, eager, resilient young men and women. We’ve spent every second since then working to make college a reality for our scholars. We know that they’re capable of getting to and through college and it’s our mission to provide them with the academic foundation and strength of character they need to be successful. We do this in a couple of ways – by hiring the best teachers, providing students with extra time in math and English, having computers in every classroom and partnering with parents on a consistent basis to ensure that students receive the same message at home that they do at school.
The road to college isn’t easy and there will be obstacles, but together we can accomplish anything.
Thank you for being part of the Resolute Family. We’ve resolved to make this the best year yet!
